Privacy Policy
What we collect, why, and the choices you have.
Last updated July 2, 2026
SiteScope is a reading site. You do not need an account, and we do not ask you to sign in or hand over personal details to read any audit. This page explains the limited data that is involved when you visit.
What we collect
Like most websites, our server records standard request logs: the page requested, a timestamp, the referring page, and a truncated technical fingerprint such as browser type. We use these logs to keep the site running and to understand which audits readers find useful. We do not build profiles of individual visitors.
Search queries
When you use the search box, the term you type is sent to our server to return matching audits. We do not attach search terms to your identity, and our robots file asks search engines not to index search-result URLs.
Cookies
The core site does not set tracking cookies. If you have advertising enabled in your browsing session, our advertising partner may set its own cookies to control ad frequency and relevance. You can manage or block these through your browser settings and through the ad-settings controls offered by that partner.
Advertising
SiteScope displays contextual advertising in clearly marked slots. Advertising revenue never influences which sites we audit or the scores we publish. Advertising partners operate under their own privacy policies, which govern any data they collect through ad units.
Third-party links
Audit pages link to the sites we review and, where relevant, to outside reference material. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Once you leave SiteScope, the policy on this page no longer applies.
Your choices
You can browse without cookies by using your browser's privacy controls, block advertising with a content blocker, and contact us to ask what request data we hold. Because we do not maintain visitor accounts, most readers leave no durable record beyond short-lived server logs.
Changes to this policy
If our data practices change, we will update this page and revise the date above. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
